JAPAN HOUSE Los Angeles is deeply saddened by the tragic news of the passing of former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. As Japan’s longest-serving prime minister, Mr. Abe dedicated his life to public service and leaves behind an immense legacy. Mr. Abe consistently encouraged Japanese people to make proactive contributions to world peace, and we are experiencing a huge sense of loss by his passing. Violence against democracy must not be tolerated and we strongly condemn it. JAPAN HOUSE was launched under Mr. Abe's administration and we will continue to remember and honor him through our work. We send our deepest condolences to Mrs. Akie Abe and their family, and we grieve alongside the people of Japan and the global community during this time of mourning.
