At a time when many are craving outdoor escapes, JAPAN HOUSE Los Angeles is pleased to announce a limited-time showcase highlighting the natural beauty of Japan’s national parks. On view at our second-floor space from September 11-November 28, this display features eye-opening photography, maps, and videos capturing the diversity and grandeur of Japan’s 34 national parks. From snowy mountains to tropical beaches and everywhere in between, the landscapes, wildlife, and cultural heritage of the national park system will be sure to inspire future travelers.

While some of Japan’s top destinations for first-time visitors include glamorous cities like Tokyo or historic centers like Kyoto, there is so much more to discover in the country’s protected nature sites. The national park system of Japan contains some of the world’s most stunning scenery, with activities and options for every type of traveler. From mountaineering to scuba-diving, forest walks to culinary exploration, the national parks offer visitors the chance to experience the deep connection to nature that is central to Japanese culture.

Whether you’re planning your next vacation or just indulging your wanderlust imagination, it’s never too soon to get inspired for the adventure of a lifetime.
